Diagnostic Testing
Accurate diagnosis is the key to finding the best treatment for your pain. We therefore offer the following diagnostic services:
Med-X: State-of-the-art equipment that allows our trained professionals to isolate and accurately measure the strength or weakness of the involved muscles of the spine.
Electromyography and nerve conduction velocity studies: To test muscular activity and nerve conduction, allowing diagnosis of radiculopathy, nerve damage, neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, or other problems of the nerves and muscles. Once the degree of nerve or soft tissue damage has been determined, a rehabilitation program can be tailored to meet your specific needs. These tests may be done in two visits.
Sensory evoked potentials: To study pathways from the brain to the limbs.
Computerized functional capacity evaluation (FCE): Using the most advanced technology available to objectively evaluate a patient’s functional status and ability to perform certain activities.
X-rays: We offer low-dose, high-resolution X-rays that reduce your radiation exposure by 50 percent.
